Producers and Wineries
Mount Benson is located above an aquifer which provides it with access to ample supplies of high quality underground water with very low levels of salinity, it has the well drained terra rossa soil type favoured for viticulture and a mild maritime climate.
Mount Benson’s proximity to the sea gives it a mild maritime climate with a relatively low risk of damage from frost compared to Regions located in the hinterland. This advantage is especially so for vineyards located on the western (coastal) side of the Woakwine Range.
